Day #16, Valencia

I hate this feeling.   This feeling that a wonderful vacation is coming to a close.

Yesterday Amy took the kids to the Mercado Central.  This is similar idea and concept to Pike Place market, just 80 times larger.

Max took me up in the hills on mountain bikes.   The roads are like logging roads in a way just no trees or stumps.   You climb, you have great vistas, you climb some more.  It is hot but you feel great.

Then you will come around a bend and there will be a 700 year old castle or 600 year old monestary.    In the middle of nowhere!.

We biked for about 2.5 hours and and returned to empty house and just soaked up the sun when the kids returned.

Maggie has found a neighbor child who is 5.  Her name is Jessica.  her family is from southern France but live in Valencia currently and also have a place in Miami.    The whole family speaks spanish, french and English very well.

Maggie has already awoken and says, "You promised a playdate with Jessica!".    I did?

Today we are going to the beach with my mom and sister and I will pick them up shortly.  They were in Barcelona.  tonight a BBQ also with Paella.

I decided to write a short story.   Most of it comes from something I witnessed in Paris or experiences in Paris.  It has been fun to talk to Beth and Max and Amy about the plot, characters.

This is nothing I have ever done before and an entirely new challenge and it has been fun to try and work through the problems that the characters find themselves in.  If I make more progress I will post it here.

here is yesterdays video
